Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada
The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada is a Primary Reserve unit of the Canadian Army based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The unit was founded in February 1910, making it the oldest kilted regiment in western Canada. Members of the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada Pipes & Drums are a mix of full-time and part-time soldiers augmented by a cadre of dedicated civilian volunteers.
The band performs at a wide variety of local military and community functions, and has travelled abroad in recent years to support the Virginia International Tattoo, the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, and the 75th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.
The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada Pipes & Drums are under the direction of Pipe Major Dan Locke. The band appears by kind permission of the regiment’s commanding officer, Lieutenant-Colonel Mark Singleton.
